The New Gallery and Art Studio

I have always enjoyed spending time with the people who own my art and hearing from them about what their art means to them personally. Now I have a perfect place to invite you all to come visit. If you are not already on the list, please email me and I will be sure you get an invitation to our next event.

Construction of the Rebecca Holland Gallery and painting studio has now been completed. Painting in this studio is like nothing else because of the light. The tent like structure from Sweetwater Bungalows has been retrofitted with a poly-carbonate roof that captures heat and provides clean water catchment. The white vinyl walls and clear roof provide a diffuse light that is perfect for creating fine art. When working late, it is warm and cozy inside, even during winter storms. Located south of Half Moon Bay in the hills, half way down from the top of Kings Mountain, the 360 degree views of the San Mateo coast side are breath taking. You can see the influence in Rebecca’s art. The natural daylight is enhanced and brought forward into the night painting sessions with beautiful ionic light created by high speed fluorescent fixtures. This is a remarkable lighting technology that partner filmmaker Steve Michelson has been involved with for making films since the 80’s.
